2013 Campaign Chair - Fred McCallum
Fred McCallum was born and raised in Florence, Alabama. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Auburn University, and his law degree from the University of Alabama. He began his career in Birmingham, Alabama with the law firm of Lange, Simpson, Robinson and Somerville in Birmingham, and joined South Central Bell in 1987. Since then, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in the wireline and wireless business units.
He served in South Central Bell’s Alabama and Headquarters’ operations from 1987 to 1991. From 1991 to 1995 he was Vice-President and General Counsel of MobileComm, a BellSouth wireless subsidiary. From 1996 to 2002, he was General Counsel for Georgia Operations, and Senior Counsel responsible for securing state and federal long distance approval in the former BellSouth southeastern states. From 2002 to 2007 he served as Vice President Regulatory and External Affairs for BellSouth’s Headquarters’ Organization in Atlanta, where he was responsible for the development and support of BellSouth’s regulatory and legislative agenda in state and federal arenas.
He was appointed President – AT&T Alabama effective June 1, 2008. Fred serves on the Board of Directors for numerous organizations in the state, including the Business Council of Alabama, the Birmingham Business Alliance, the Birmingham Education Foundation, the United Way of Central Alabama, PARCA, and the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute.
In 2013, he will serve as Chairman of the Birmingham Business Alliance, Campaign Chair for the United Way of Central Alabama, Chairman of the PARCA Board, and Chair of the Business Council of Alabama ProgressPAC Board.
Fred is married to Connie McCallum and they have two sons. Will, a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, and Grant, a senior engineering student at Auburn University. He belongs to Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood, Alabama and enjoys being a private pilot and playing golf in his spare time.

2013 Pacesetter Chair - Greg King
Greg King started his career with Highland Bank in Birmingham. He joined AmSouth Bank in 1997 (later bought by Regions Bank) where he served in a number of roles. He worked in the Metropolitan Commercial Banking Group and served as Assistant Relationship Manager and then as Vice President and Commercial Banking Relationship Manager. King moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 2005 as Senior Vice President and Sales Manager for Commercial and Industrial Banking in Southeast Tennessee and North Georgia. Prior to joining IBERIABANK in 2009, King served as Senior Vice President and Market Manager for Middle Market Commercial and Industrial Banking in North Central Alabama for Regions Bank.
King earned a B.S. in Accounting from Birmingham-Southern College and a M.B.A. from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Additionally, King has completed the Leadership in Financial Organizations Program at Harvard Business School.
Active in the Birmingham community, King currently serves as the Board President for Pathways Home, as an Advisory Director of the Arthritis Foundation Southeast Region, a Director of the United Way of Central Alabama, Director of the Greater Alabama Boy Scouts of America and is a member of the Rotary Club of Birmingham. He is also part of Vistage International CEO Group, Birmingham Business Alliance Chairman’s Circle and was in the Class of 2010 for Birmingham’s Top 40 Under 40.
King previously served on the Committee of 25 for Girls, Inc. of Central Alabama.
King and his family reside in Mountain Brook, Alabama.
