SIX
STEPS TO A SUCCESSFUL CAMPAIGN - Step 5
Step 5: Report
Your Results
Before you begin
your United Way employee campaign, your United Way staff representative
or Loaned Executive will give you everything you need and show you
how to track your pledges and tabulate your campaign results.
Reporting results accurately and promptly is crucial. When you are
ready to report the results, your United Way representative will
pick up your report envelopes from you.
Accurate and timely remittance of campaign results and paperwork to
your Payroll Department and to United Way helps ensure that cash,
checks, credit card pledges, and stock contributions are processed
quickly. It also ensures that donors and your organization are properly
recognized for their contributions.
Turn in to
United Way:
- All cash
and checks attached to the pledge card
- Signed Direct
Bill pledge cards (must be $100 or greater)
- Signed Credit
Card pledge cards
- Listing of
designations of $25 or more to United Way partners and programs.
Include the individual's name, address and gift amount so we may
provide the agency with that information
- Listing of
leadership givers including their personal gift in addition to
any match or joint amount involved
- Copies of
all pledge cards and/or a listing of all pledges (listing may
be a printed spreadsheet, on disk, or on cd-rom)
Turn in to
your Payroll Department:
- A copy of
all pledge cards
- Any additional
information specific to your organization's campaign
Remember to
keep a record of your results including a listing of givers for
next year's campaign.
Please use the Reporting Results Checklist to ensure a complete
and accurate wrap-up with United Way.
