United Way's Success By 6
is the nation’s largest early childhood initiative enabling more than 350 communities across the country to implement out-come-focused strategies to positively affect early childhood development. Each Success By 6 develops their program based on critical issues for their community's 0 - 6 population. United Way of Central Alabama’s Success By 6 focus is to improve the reading readiness skills of 4-year olds who attend preschool programs in at-risk communities. The ability to read well and enjoy it is critical to future success in school.
