It is often hard for young professionals to find ways to share talents in the voluntary sector. Through the Young Leaders Society, United Way will bridge this gap thus capitalizing on the wealth of skills that young leaders possess.

Martin Luther King Service project

On Monday January 15, young leaders gathered at the Aletheia House located at 201 West Finley Avenue. Young Leaders helped paint the men's facility across the street from 1:00 to 4:00 pm in honor and celebration of the service of Martin Luther King Jr. Afterwards, young leaders gathered at the Boutwell Auditorium for a hot dog buffet and a brief presentation. The Aletheia House provides drug abuse prevention programs, treatment and affordable housing.
