The United Way Area Agency on Aging (UWAAA) Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program needs your help to sweeten the holidays for Boarding Home residents in Jefferson County!

Home “Sweet” Home for the Holidays is an opportunity to provide a special treat to those who are not able to be with their loved ones this holiday season.  Volunteers are needed to DONATE desserts for the 40 participating boarding homes across the county.

You can drop off store-bought cakes, cookies, and pies beginning TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17th thru WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 18th between 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Alice Williams Building, Room 102.

We know the holidays can get busy and finding the time to drop off donations may become a juggling act! We will also be accepting donations using any grocery delivery service such as Instacart, Shipt or Walmart if accessible.  If you are dropping off your treat, please be sure to complete the donation form located on the documents tab of this opportunity.
