Everyday Heroes are all around you. They’re the smiling faces comforting those in need. They’re the dedicated volunteers who work selflessly to better our community. They’re your neighbor, your friend, your colleague…or maybe even you.

Cindy shares how she was able to purchase her first home with the help of United Way’s Financial Stability Partnership and Habitat for Humanity, a United Way partner agency. As an #EverydayHero, Cindy helps other women build a future for success.
Antonio
Antonio shares how United Way’s Priority Veteran program helped him find affordable housing while studying to become a lawyer. Priority Veteran helped 555 veterans like Antonio find stable housing last year. As an #EverydayHero, Antonio uses his skills as an attorney to help others.
Janet
Janet, an employee of Jefferson County Board of Education, shares how the school system is able to use money from United Way of Central Alabama Children’s Fund to help homeless students. As an #EverydayHero, Janet works to remove the barriers that homeless or displaced students face each day.
