County Campaigns

BLOUNT COUNTY

The Blount County United Way merged with United Way of Central Alabama in 1987. The first campaign raised $44,500 and was chaired by Hoy Taylor of First Alabama Bank (now Regions Bank). The Blount County division includes businesses, government, non-profits, individuals and professionals.

Barbara Andersen is the Executive Director of the Blount-Oneonta Chamber of Commerce and chairs the Blount County campaign.

CHILTON COUNTY

Chilton County United Way joined the United Way of Central Alabama on January 1, 2021. The Chilton County campaign is made up of a number of generous individuals and businesses with 100% participation from companies such as River Bank & Trust.

Yolanda Fox, retired from AT&T, will be the first chair of the Chilton County campaign for UWCA.

SHELBY COUNTY

The Shelby County campaign is comprised of individuals and large and small businesses located in Shelby County. These include professional and industrial companies, city and county government employees, the public school system, clergy and associations.

Chace Hallmark, VP of Marketing Development at Americas First Federal Credit Union, serves as the 2021 Shelby County campaign chair.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY

The St. Clair County campaign includes individuals, businesses, schools and organizations located in Pell City, Ashville, Ragland, Moody, Springville and other communities in the county.

Zachary Gentile, Vice President at Ford Meter Box, is the 2020 St. Clair County campaign chair.

WALKER COUNTY

The Walker County chair is Austin McLemore. Austin is a real estate agent at All Four Real Estate.

Walker County has been in the service area of United Way of Central Alabama since 1970. During this time, there have been steady increases in campaign support, available services and volunteer support of United Way. The Walker County campaign is comprised of industry, small business, professionals, public employees and individual contributors.
