Housing Counseling Assessment
You are receiving mortgage assistance through AL Housing Finance Authority and are therefore required to complete a brief housing counseling survey. This survey will help the United Way Housing Alliance connect you with a HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agency in your area. Once your survey has been submitted, you will be contacted by a housing counselor, who will further explain the benefits of housing counseling services including: development of a sustainable budget; analysis of your credit report; assistance in obtaining a loan modification; and building confidence in avoiding future delinquencies. These services are being offered free of charge to Mortgage Assistance Alabama recipients. As an AHFA mortgage assistance recipient, you are required to complete this assessment.
