United Way of Central Alabama (UWCA) is proud to announce that its strong financial health and ongoing accountability and transparency have once again earned the organization a Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator. This is the highest possible rating from the world’s largest and most trusted evaluator of nonprofits; and United Way has consistently achieved this four-star rating distinction since 2003. UWCA scored a perfect 100 on the Charity Navigator scale, which was an increase from its previous score of 98.
“Our Four-Star Charity Navigator rating is further validation that our supporters can trust our commitment to good governance and financial health,” said Drew Langloh, President and CEO of United Way of Central Alabama. “It’s important for our donors to have confidence in our responsible use of their contributions in fulfilling our mission, which is to increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another and to improve their community.”
This rating designates United Way of Central Alabama as an official “Give with Confidence” charity, indicating that the organization is using its donations effectively based on Charity Navigator’s criteria. As America’s most-utilized independent charity evaluator since 2001, Charity Navigator is a reliable, unbiased source of information for more than 11 million people who make charitable donations every year.
