United Way of Central Alabama’s (UWCA)Tocqueville Society thrives because of its members. These individuals not only give generously but also actively contribute to the group’s growth and impact. Moving forward in 2025, we are building our Tocqueville Society Cabinet and encouraging you to get involved.
This year, the Cabinet is led by Missy and Stephen Armstrong with Zachary Gentile chairing the Retention Team and Paige and John Daniel leading the New Member Team. Each of these teams plays a critical role in maintaining the strength of the Tocqueville Society, and we invite you to be part of this effort.
Retention Team: Strengthening Member Engagement
The Retention Team focuses on member outreach and engagement. Volunteers on this team connect with fellow Tocqueville Society members to thank them for their continued support and encourage them to renew their pledge. These calls are a simple but important way to maintain relationships and reinforce the impact of our collective giving.
- Who’s involved: 20 to 30 Tocqueville members
- Commitment: Approximately 50 calls over four to five months
This role is ideal for members who want to stay connected with others in the Society while ensuring we continue to build on the strong foundation we’ve established.
New Member Team: Expanding Our Reach
The New Member Team focuses on growing the Tocqueville Society and strengthening our hold on the #1 ranking in the nation by identifying prospects and recruiting new members. Volunteers help introduce potential donors to the Society, share their experience and invite others to join.
- Who’s involved: 20 to 30 Tocqueville members
- Commitment: Flexible, with a focus on June through November depending on how involved the volunteer would like to be
This role is perfect for those who are passionate about expanding the impact of the Tocqueville Society and ensuring we continue to bring in new voices and leaders.
Make a Difference with the Tocqueville Society
Both teams offer a hands-on way to contribute to the success and sustainability of the Tocqueville Society. Whether you’re focused on member engagement or recruitment, your involvement strengthens our efforts and drives meaningful impact in our community.
