Thank you United Way
Vanessa Carter and her interpreter, Lin Fulton from the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind
Vanessa Carter and her interpreter, Lin Fulton from the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind, are signing, “Thank You United Way.” Vanessa just had her taxes prepared in United Way’s Free Tax Center.
“What a great partnership we share with the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind,” says Judy Allen, Tax Assistance Coordinator with United Way of Central Alabama. “Having an interpreter like Lin available to communicate important information makes both the customer and tax preparer feel good.”
It’s obvious that Linn really loves what she does, particularly the interaction with the individuals she assists and the great team of United Way tax volunteers she works with. This year it is estimated that more than 4,000 returns will be prepared at United Way.
If you or someone you know earned $53,000 or less in 2015, and would like to take advantage of this free tax program call 2-1-1 or 1-888-421-1266 for an appointment.
The free tax preparation program is part of United Way’s Financial Stability Partnership that helps hard-working families become economically secure through a network of partners and innovative programs.
