Education
Education is the cornerstone of individual and community success. United Way is working to ensure every Central Alabama student will graduate high school prepared for college, career, and life. Our priorities include expanding access to high quality Pre-K, providing resources to meet the basics needs of students, supporting students, schools, and families in increasing academic proficiency, and helping students pursue post-secondary degrees and credentials for workforce success. United Way is improving outcomes for students through partnerships with Pre-K programs, schools, after-school and summer youth development programs, and by organizing other community partners around a common agenda for educational success in our community.
