United Way helps provide ongoing services for people living with HIV/AIDS. In addition to supporting agencies in Central Alabama, United Way partners with HIV medical clinics and community organizations across Alabama to assist 10,000 people living with HIV/AIDS each year. For the statewide initiative, United Way receives funding from the Alabama Department of Public Health as part of the Ryan White Program.
