United Way Area Agency on Aging (UWAAA) of Jefferson County promotes the health, dignity and independence of seniors, people with disabilities and their caregivers. Through a comprehensive and coordinated system, UWAAA is enhancing lives in meaningful ways – from providing hot, nutritious meals and monitoring long-term care facilities to training caregivers and helping individuals take full advantage of their Medicare benefits.

ADRC provides information, counseling and referrals to access options and benefits regarding the various assistance programs for the aging and people with disabilities in Jefferson County.

Vaccine Hesitancy Campaign Draws Seniors to Free Clinics
Through the Vaccine Hesitancy Campaign for the Elderly and Disabled, eligible seniors 60 years and older could receive a $100 VISA gift card if they chose to get a COVID-19 vaccine at one of the two free clinics hosted by UWAAA.
