United Way of Central Alabama believes
All senior citizens deserve the support needed to live independently
Almost 12% of people aged 65 or older throughout our six-county region, however, live below the federal poverty level. And Alzheimer’s disease is the seventh-leading cause of death statewide.
United Way is a hub for senior services, delivering free meals, providing in-home assistance with daily living tasks, enabling access to reduced-cost prescriptions, representing seniors in legal matters and supporting family caregivers, just to name a few.
