Tyler Lowros

Senior Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer

Tyler Lowros is senior vice president and chief operating officer of United Way of Central Alabama, a leading nonprofit dedicated to increasing the organized capacity of people to care for one another and improve their communities.

In his role, Tyler provides executive leadership for the organization’s operations, technology, human resources, compliance and major program initiatives. He brings nearly two decades of experience with United Way of Central Alabama, having served in several leadership roles that have given him a deep understanding of the organization’s systems, programs and community impact.

Tyler began his career in 2004 in internal audit with one of the world’s largest corporations after earning a degree in finance from The University of Alabama. While completing his MBA at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, he joined United Way of Central Alabama in 2007, guided by his faith and a desire to use his professional skills in service to people and the community.

Over the course of his tenure, Tyler has developed a broad operational perspective through progressively responsible roles across the organization. He spent his first 10 years with United Way in the finance department before becoming vice president of operations, a role he held for nine years while working closely with the organization’s chief operating officer. That experience helped prepare him for his current role leading core operational functions and supporting the infrastructure needed to advance United Way’s mission during a period of significant growth, as United Way of Central Alabama increased from $45 million in total revenue in 2007 to more than $130 million in total revenue in 2025.

Tyler and his wife, Autumn, live in Oneonta with their two daughters. He is deeply committed to his community and dedicates his time to coaching, mentoring and volunteering in school and community activities.
