Administrative Assistant, Legacy Gifts (Part Time) – RD803
Position Summary: Administrative support includes oral and written communication with volunteers and donors, report preparation for staff and volunteers, preparation of mailings, preparation for and recording of minutes for committee meetings, administrative support for the Loaned Executives, proofreading documents, collation of training materials, filing, phone reception, customer service and other duties as assigned. High School diploma or equivalent. Administrative training preferred. Associate degree or some college preferred. Some administrative experience required, two years preferred.
Relationship Manager (County) – RD802
Position Summary: Develop and implement strategy for growing campaign revenue, bringing in new accounts, growing existing key accounts and partner relationships, and creating opportunities for year-round engagement that align with both donor and United Way objectives. This Relationship Manager position will be focused on overseeing the recruitment, preparation, and execution of fundraising efforts in Blount, St. Clair and/or Walker Counties. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

FSP Specialist-Family Stability Services – PIFSP100
Position Summary: Responsible for all case management services of assigned clients through the Family Stability Services program. Develops, coordinates and/or facilitates consumer financial workshops and provides outreach for FSP programs. Bachelors or Master’s Degree in SW, Counseling, or social service related degree with 3+ years’ experience in case management preferred. Experience in counseling/case managing high risk populations. Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft and database.
Early Childhood Education Specialist – CI305
Position Summary: Develops improvement plans for participating Success By 6 childcare sites; coordinates and conducts support activities of sites; trains and coordinates site volunteers; assists with program evaluation; assists with implementation of Help Me Grow program; performs related duties as assigned throughout footprint of UWCA. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood, education, social work, public health, or related human services field. Minimum of 1 year of experience. Emphasis on early childhood. Experience in providing technical assistance.
Priority Veteran Clinical Director – CI302
Position Summary: Oversees program operations for veterans and military families to include program sites and program activities. Masters degree required from an accredited university in social work or counseling with LCSW or LPC licensure. Minimum five years relevant professional work experience including clinical, supervisory and program management experience.
Digital Content Writer – M100
Position Summary: United Way of Central Alabama, Inc. is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Content Writer to join our Marketing and Communications team. The ideal candidate will have experience in creative writing for various outreach and promotional channels. Bachelors degree is required (Degree related to marketing, communication, or journalism is preferred). Must have a portfolio that demonstrates strong abilities and writing skills.
Nutrition Coordinator, Area Agency on Aging of Jefferson County – CI301
Position Summary: Coordination of the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) of Jefferson County’s Nutrition Program. Involves planning,
program development, implementation and operations of senior centers throughout Jefferson County. Supervises congregate and homebound reporting requirements. Follows guidance and direction from Alabama Department of Senior Services. Master’s Degree in related field preferred MPA, MSW, MBA, etc. Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible administrative, supervisory and case management experience preferred.
Lead Case Manager – CI303
Position Summary: Provide accountability, administrative and supervisory oversight for Case Managers at the assigned site. Maintain quality and productivity controls and maintain staff/site performance benchmark goals. Master’s degree preferred. Military experience preferred. Combination of education and experience considered.
Program Manager, Priority Veteran – CI304
Position Summary: Provides programmatic and administrative management to effectively provide Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing services to qualifying Veteran families
Assists with establishing and maintaining quality and productivity controls based on database review/analysis, staff technical assistance, and staffing performance standards for the SSVF program.
