Fred Davenport is a native of Courtland, AL, attended R.A. Hubbard High School. Growing up in Lawrence County, Fred was actively involved with the North Courtland Primitive Baptist Church. Even at a young age, Fred knew he wanted to one day attend Alabama A&M University and eventually go on to report the news, dreams that came true in 2008. Fred moved to Huntsville, Alabama to attend Alabama A&M University. While living in Huntsville, he became a reporter and photographer for the local NBC station. He is a member of the Gorgeous Gamma Epsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated, honorary member of Kappa Kappa Psi, and 100 Black Men of America. He graduated Cum Laude from Alabama A&M University in May of 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications. In 2022, Fred joined Birmingham City Schools as a Broadcast Communications Specialist after working nearly 10 years at WVTM 13 in Birmingham and four years at WAFF 48 in Huntsville.
In 2017, Fred’s turned his hobby of flying drones into a business. Fred is the mastermind behind the brand SkyDavenport. As a drone pilot, Fred captures stunning images and videos of professional events, construction projects, real estate, and much more.
Trey Huie, a Birmingham native, serves as an Account Executive at Bham Now, Hville Blast, and The Bama Buzz. His role involves connecting with Alabama’s vibrant communities and showcasing the best our unique state has to offer. Trey’s love for exploration leads him on adventures across our state (ranked as one of the most biodiverse in the US!), where he enjoys meeting locals and immersing himself in the fantastic art scene.
With over a decade of experience in marketing, Kayla is the CEO of Iron City Social, HBIC at Quake Plus Size, and Managing Partner + CMO of Stella Tripp Brewing Company. A self-described chef, gin lover, and rambling woman, when she’s not creating, you’ll find her discovering new flavors in her kitchen, exploring the Magic City, or planning her next adventure.
