Central Alabama responded generously to its community needs and again supported United Way to support agencies and initiatives to work towards solutions.

2019 Volunteer Campaign Chairman, Jeff Stone, Executive Vice President at Brasfield & Gorrie, proudly announced on Tuesday night at a volunteer recognition celebration, that 2019 they exceeded their goal and raised $36,825,000. This reflects pledge estimates and not the final results of companies that are still conducting campaigns or individuals who have not renewed pledges in writing.

“We live in one of the most generous communities in the United States. People don’t know, but this is one of the largest campaigns in the United States,” said Stone. “It’s inspiring to me that this community reaches out the way it does and is so generous to support those in need in our community.”

This summer, Jill Deer, Vice President of Development and Administration at Brasfield & Gorrie, led a Pacesetter (summer) Campaign with over 66 companies and nonprofits. They set a goal of $12,900,000 and exceeded that goal raising $13,591,150. Those pledges put United Way over one-third of the way toward meeting its goal.
