Nonprofits across Central Alabama are always looking for new ways to diversify funding and strengthen financial stability. To support that mission, United Way of Central Alabama (UWCA) recently celebrated the graduation of participants from LEARN United’s Earned Revenue Accelerator Cohort, a program created to help nonprofit leaders explore strategies to maximize their impact.
Through this hands-on program, participants took part in thoughtful discussions and collaborative workshops focused on developing earned revenue models. They explored ideas such as creating fee-for-service opportunities and forming strategic partnerships with local businesses. The cohort also provided a supportive space for nonprofit professionals to brainstorm, plan and design practical strategies that strengthen both their organizations and the communities they serve.
By the conclusion of the program, graduates walked away equipped with practical tools, new ideas and the confidence to bring their revenue-generating initiatives to life.
“Participating in the Social Impact CoLab cohort was an invaluable experience for BridgeWays,” shared Monica Carmichael, Grant Coordinator at Bridgeways. “Having the space, guidance and support to think strategically about earned revenue models provided us the tools to explore new ways to sustain and grow our impact. We are deeply grateful to United Way of Central Alabama and to our facilitator for expertly guiding us through this process. It was a privilege to learn with and from such inspiring peer organizations, and we look forward to the partnerships and collaboration that will grow from this shared experience.”
