Meals on Wheels
Deliver More than a Meal
Help provide nutritious meals, meaningful connection and peace of mind to older adults and people with disabilities in Jefferson County.
Make a Difference for a Neighbor
Meals on Wheels volunteers help older adults and people with disabilities remain nourished, connected and supported in their homes. For many meal recipients, a volunteer’s friendly visit is just as meaningful as the meal itself.
Volunteer opportunities are currently available Monday through Friday. Meal deliveries take place around lunchtime, while kitchen and meal-packing shifts are generally available from 8 a.m. to noon. Volunteers are asked to serve at least once per month.
Complete the application below to tell us about your interests, availability and preferred service area. Our team will review your information and contact you about orientation, required screening and next steps.
There are several ways to serve:
- Deliver meals to neighbors along a designated route.
- Pack meals or assist in the kitchen on weekday mornings.
- Stock and pack pantry items for Meals on Wheels clients.
- Deliver food pantry items to clients in the community.
