Over 350 guests were present at the 21st Annual Tocqueville Dinner to honor Dell and Dixon Brooke and Maggie and Will Brooke with United Way of Central Alabama’s 2016 Tocqueville Award. Recipients of the Award are true philanthropists who exemplify the spirit of caring and the power to make a meaningful impact on our community’s most pressing issues.
Dell and Dixon Brooke are charter members of the Tocqueville Society and became members of the Deux Million De Dollars Roundtable in 2014. “We feel supporting United Way of Central Alabama enables us to efficiently and effectively have a positive impact across a broad range of needs, and in a small way this makes our community a better place to live.”
Maggie and Will Brooke are members of the Million Dollar Roundtable. In 2013, they served as Tocqueville Division Chairs of United Way’s fundraising campaign. “Getting involved and seeing many of the partner agencies, you can see how big the needs are in our community.”
