Safe Routes to School

The Safe Routes to School program creates and encourages safe, convenient, and fun opportunities for all children, including those with disabilities, to walk and bike to school.  This form of exercise plays a critical role in reversing the alarming nationwide trend of increased childhood obesity and inactivity.

The Walking School Bus is a neighborhood-based program that encourages children to walk to school for physical activity and social interaction.
