United Way of Central Alabama (UWCA) has a rich history of helping individuals and families in Central Alabama and has been dedicated to serving our region for nearly 100 years. Having stood side-by-side with the community through everything from the Great Depression to natural disasters to the COVID-19 pandemic, UWCA is successful because of the generosity of its community members through their financial donations as well as the time and effort they give – and we want to say thank you!
On June 24, 2023, UWCA is hosting a special event to honor this incredible milestone and the people who have helped us get there, while also ensuring another century of even greater impact for our community. Make sure to save this date in your calendar, because admission is FREE and open to all, and we can guarantee it’s something no one will want to miss.
Hosted at the vibrant City Walk BHAM, this event will engage the communities across UWCA’s six-county footprint with live music, delicious food and beverages, interactive activities, a partner agency fair and much more as we honor the past and look forward to the future.
In keeping with our love of celebrating through service, UWCA will present plans for volunteer community projects at this Centennial Anniversary Event, so keep an eye on volunteer opportunities by clicking here. We will announce a full schedule of activities to take place as we get closer to the event date, so stay tuned!
