Providing Statewide Support for People Living with HIV and AIDS
A trusted coalition of providers funded through the Ryan White Program
Together, we help individuals living with HIV access essential healthcare, support services and resources — no matter where they live in Alabama.
Alabama Partners in Care (APiC) is a statewide coalition of 17 organizations working in partnership with the Alabama Department of Public Health’s Office of HIV Prevention and Care and United Way of Central Alabama.
What We Do
APiC’s mission is to strengthen collaboration among HIV service providers and ensure compassionate, high-quality care is available across the state.
We also provide training and technical support to professionals in the field through both in-person and online learning.
We help people living with HIV:
- Access medical case management and treatment.
- Receive dental and mental healthcare.
- Navigate insurance and benefits.
- Secure housing and transportation assistance.
- Connect with community-based support services.
Building a Connected Care System

APiC Conference
Held twice a year, the APiC Conference brings together HIV care providers from across Alabama for shared learning, cross-agency collaboration and professional development. These in-person gatherings foster stronger partnerships, highlight innovative practices and align statewide efforts to improve outcomes for people living with HIV and AIDS.

APiC University
Complementing the conference, APiC University is a dedicated online learning platform offering on-demand continuing education, training modules and best-practice resources. Designed for case managers, clinical staff and community-based organizations, APiC University supports providers in delivering informed, compassionate and effective care year-round.
