Leadership Giving Societies

Our giving societies are made up of gifts of $1,000 or more to the annual campaign and endowment. Our leadership societies make it easy for you and your family to get involved and make a difference in Central Alabama. Membership at every level offers opportunities to address our community’s most pressing problems, engage your philanthropic spirit, and help you achieve your personal and professional goals. Other benefits of giving include increasing your knowledge of the innovative ways needs are being addressed in Central Alabama, building your reputation as a community leader, and being recognized as such through your employer and United Way.

Tocqueville Society

Gifts of $10,000+ annually. We have one of the largest Tocqueville Societies in the United States. Matching funds are available.

Gifts of $250,000+ to the endowment. We have one of the largest Tocqueville Legacy Circles in the United States. Matching funds are available.

J. Mason Davis Leadership Society brings together African American changemakers who champion diversity and opportunity, and are striving to positively impact the community through a shared affinity for philanthropy, volunteerism and advocacy.

Feather Society

Annual gifts of $1,000 –  4,999

Gold Feather, $3,500 – 4,999

Silver Feather, $2,000 – 3,499

Red Feather, $1,000 – 1,999

Members are automatically enrolled.

The Legacy Society

$1,000+ to the endowment. Individuals and families who have made a commitment of $1,000 or more to the endowment through cash, bequests, insurance policies, and planned gifts.

Matches Increase the Impact of Your Gift

Does your employer offer matches to qualified charities or would you be interested in benefiting from matching  funds? Community matches are available to help donors reach The Tocqueville Society and The Builder Society level for the annual campaign. These matches are existing funds that we would not have access to if donors did not take advantage of them.
