Supporting United Way Means Hope Springs Eternal

Every day, people who support United Way of Central Alabama (UWCA) make hope happen for countless individuals. UWCA is here for our community through good times and bad, working with a network of more than 80 partner agencies and programs to improve our overall health, education and financial stability.

This has been a particularly challenging year for Central Alabama. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all of us, especially those who could least afford it, including vulnerable seniors and workers in the service and hospitality industries. Central Alabama is facing unprecedented need, with tens of thousands of families relying on United Way services. And many of those families will continue to need our help in the new year.

Now more than ever, we need you. We rely on the generosity of donors to not only support long-term programs, but also the vital services that provide for our neighbors’ most basic, immediate needs, such as housing, utility assistance and food security.

As we continue to work through the challenges of 2020, we’re holding out hope for a better year ahead. But we can’t do it without you. By supporting United Way, you play a pivotal role in making hope happen for those most in need.

There are numerous ways to support UWCA’s annual campaign. Many workplaces allow and encourage tax-deductible donations through payroll deduction. You can give through gifts of appreciated stocks or IRA distribution. And, of course, you can give online at www.uwca.org/give or by mailing your contribution to: United Way of Central Alabama, Inc., P.O. Box 320189, Birmingham, AL 35232-0189. If you have questions about giving, please contact a member of our team at 205-458-2009.

Because of you, hope happens.
