Financial Stability is a fundamental need in order to improve the well-being of the community. United Way of Central Alabama is working in various roles by supporting programs, community partnerships and direct services — in our six county footprint, as well as across the state of Alabama — to help and support individuals to become financially stable. We do this by teaching financial empowerment skills and helping low-income people acquire stabilizing assets.

Providing prospective homeowners and renters the information and support they need to achieve and sustain their housing goals.
Family Stability Services
When lower-to-moderate-income families with school-aged children are faced with losing their homes, UWCA stands ready to help them.
Free Tax Preparation
UWCA offers free volunteer tax preparation for households with an annual income of $54,000 or less.
United Way Housing Alliance
A network of Housing Counseling Agencies providing housing and financial education and counseling to individuals and families across the Southeast.
