United Ability, Formerly UCP of Greater Birmingham
United Ability, formerly United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham, was founded in 1948 by a compassionate group of citizens to provide services to individuals with cerebral palsy. As the needs of people in the community evolved, so did the organization. In 2017, the name was changed to United Ability to better reflect their service to people with all types of disabilities throughout the life spectrum. Through these programs, they create opportunities for care, learning, and employment and envision a world where disability is neither defining nor limiting.
