United Way of Central Alabama is arranging FREE TRANSPORTATION for qualified individuals.
Rides are scheduled through 211 and provided courtesy of Lyft for the purposes listed below.
Eligibility and ride availability are confirmed during your call. No smartphone or Lyft app is required.

Work-Related Trips
Job attendance
Interviews
Drug screening
Public Assistance
Appointments to complete documentation needed for assistance or benefits
Appointments to collect benefits (SNAP/TANF, food boxes, essential items)
Education
Appointments related to education at all levels
Trips to purchase items or supplies essential for education
Trips to training classes for adult/continuing education students
Health Services
Appointments for counseling or medical needs
Basic Needs
Trips to obtain groceries, prescription medications, housing and other essential items
